SAVE THE DATE!

In 2020, we will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the historic first-ever national reunion of the Hatfields and McCoys, the “Reunion of the Millennium,” back where it all started in Pikeville, Kentucky.

On September 18th-20th, 2020, the families will meet for the occasion as part of the Hatfield McCoy Heritage Days Homecoming at various venues around town. Pike County Tourism is working together with the families to ensure that 2020 is a memorable event, not to be missed. Heritage Days is a public event, honoring our shared Appalachian heritage. The event is open to everyone.

Leading up to the 2020 event, we will be posting a gallery of vintage pictures and media accounts of the historic 2000 reunion on this website. To begin, here is an article that first appeared in the Chicago Tribune on June 9, 2000. https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-2000-06-09-0006090220-story.html Here is an article on the reunion from People magazine, dated June 26, 2000.
